The Terezin Memorial Tour
Originally built in the late 1700s as a fortress to protect Prague, the stronghold of Terezin (Theresienstadt) became one of Europe’s most feared prisons, used by the Gestapo to detain up to 3000 people from Eastern and Western Europe. The tour will help you explore the past of Terezin, its impact on Czech-Jewish culture and our world today.
Once a place of an unimaginable tragedy, Terezin became a Holocaust memorial and it now stands as a testament of strength and human resilience in the face of adversity.
