Our tour guide will pick you up at a previously arranged place, be it your hotel, Airbnb, the airport or anywhere in the city for maximum convenience. The tour may start at your preferred time but we recommend scheduling after a meal with regard to the opening hours of the bars we visit.
You will then walk through the city center, stopping at the legendary bars Absintherie Jilska, Absintherie Franz Kafka, Green Devil’s and Absinthe Time. Each place offers a different selection of absinthe. You will learn about the history of the spirit from its beginnings in the 1840s France, the craze among the famous artists of the times and its banning in many countries due to the hallucinogenic effects of thujone, present in wormwood.
